With warmth and compassion we deliver superior diagnostic radiology, advanced imaging, women's imaging and radiation oncology in Manhattan.
Our radiologists interpret each study while the patient is in the office and every patient has an exam and an opportunity to speak with our doctors. The referring physician or health care provider may be contacted with STAT results, and where appropriate, additional studies can be added. Through this level of concierge service, we demonstrate our commitment to a high level of attentive, thoughtful, medicine and personalized care.
Our History
In the 1960's, Norman Simon, MD and Sidney Silverstone, MD, pioneers in radiation oncology, opened a practice for radiation therapy on Fifth Avenue. Docs at 945 Fifth was the first freestanding cobalt therapy unit in New York City. Shortly after diagnostic equipment was added and we moved to 1421 Third Ave. to accommodate the new technology. Since that time, the practice has grown one of the only private practice groups in New York which offers a full range of diagnostic modalities, including IGRT Radiation Oncology. The name Rosetta represents our special combination of radiation oncology, scanning (ultrasound, mammography, CT, MRI, bone density), emission tomography (PET), and tissue acquisition (biopsies).
At 1421 Third Ave we now occupy 4 floors of our medical arts building. We are directly next door to Eli's Market. While we have expanded our square footage and added new diagnostic tests to our existing practice, we maintain our philosophy of providing personal care in this age of high tech imaging.
